HAS Celebrate Athletes at Annual Awards Day

25 local athletes have been recognised for their talent and dedication to their sport at the annual 2021/21 Hunter Academy of Sport (HAS) Awards Day, held at The University of Newcastle on Sunday, 23rd May.

 

25 local athletes have been recognised for their talent and dedication to their sport at the annual 2021/21 Hunter Academy of Sport (HAS) Awards Day, held at The University of Newcastle on Sunday, 23rd May.

 

The day consisted of a ‘Mini Olympics’ style competition, hosted by Teams Challenge Australia, which saw the talented athletes through their paces in leadership and team bonding skills and exercises.

 

Hunter athletes, parents, coaches and managers attended the event, celebrating a huge year of achievements for the Academy and its athletes.

 

The following athletes were recognised on the day and have been invited to attend a formal Awards Ceremony where they will be celebrated in front of HAS board members, sponsors, and corporates on August 5th. The Athlete of the Year, Greater Bank Volunteer Coach of the Year and Manager of the Year will also be announced on this night.
